View email attachments

The Email attachments folder contains files larger than 25 MB that were attached to emails. That could be multiple smaller attachments or a single file. They're automatically uploaded to Yandex Disk and sent as links. That happens because the majority of mail services don't accept emails with large attachments.

The maximum attachment size is  1 GB. You can only attach larger files to emails if you have a Yandex 360 Premium subscription.

Note. Files sent as links to Yandex Disk are available only to the sender and recipient. Other people can access your files only if the sender or recipient gives them links to files or posts them on public resources.

Just like all other files, email attachments take up space on your Yandex Disk, sync with your Yandex Disk folder, and are available in mobile apps. You can't attach files if you don't have enough space on your Yandex Disk.

If you move a file from Email attachments to another folder, the email recipient can still access it. But they will no longer be able to if you disable the public link to the file or delete it from Yandex Disk.

A file is missing from “Email attachments”

If you can't find an attachment in the Email attachments folder, it's most likely because the email with this attachment was sent before 2020. Such files are stored in the Archive. You can only access them through the Yandex Disk web interface.
